Dat 23...

Tuesday... the days slid  one after the other...

I finally managed to write a CV:) I'm so happy:) So tomorrow, apart from meeting Antonia, I'm going to walk around handling CV's:) My HM told me that they are looking for Saturday Assistant in hairdresser's salon that is less then a minute away from our house:) So I will try there first:) and then cafe Rouge:) On Thursday I'm going to a museum:) not for sightseeing though:P One of my friends told me that they are looking for somebody to work at the cafe there. And since she doesn't have time (and she leaves on Sunday) she asked me if I would like to:) Keep your fingers crossed:)

Day 22...

Monday, Monday, Monday... I don't know why but when I speak it aloud I hear mundane;/ life is terrible only on Mondays;/

The only good thing that happened to me is that I met a new girl:D she's an Au Pair just next door and we're going to Cafe Rouge on Wednesday (it's another good cafe with great food, that can be also found around London). It's the only positive thing that I can think of at the moment:)

Oh oh and one more:P A new week started:) I'm a week closer to go home:) That makes me happy:)

Soon tips for Au Pairs (and not only) how to start life in London:) Stay Tuned:P

Day 21... Chinese New Year..

Kung Hei Fat Choi!! That was Happy New Year in Chinese:D (I think it was:P) Because that is how I spent my Sunday:) (I planned to get up earlier to see the parade (which I didn't) but I saw the fireworks, and that counts:P)

When I finaly managed to get out of bed, get ready and go to Central it was already afternoon:D  The girls were waiting in Cafe Nero ( the've got good stuff at reasonable price and they are all over London) at Long Acre very close to China Town ( I will write a different post about China Town:) to much to write and so little time:D). We spent the afternoon wandering around Chinatown and waiting for the fireworks to start. Since Chinese people invented fireworks (they did!!) I expected something grand. Oh the disappointment;/ I've never seen in my entire life such rubbish fireworks. But apart from that, the afternoon and evening were great:) Nice time spent with friends:) After the fireworks we went to grab something to eat. We went to SoHo (another topic for another post:D) and then wandering around Chinatown again:D They serve really good food and drinks in Cafe de Hong Kong:)

I got so tired that I felt asleep almost instantly:D

And here are some pictures!!:)

And this is what I had at cafe Nero:) White Chocolate Macchiato and Carmel Short Cake:) (I forgot to take a picture and I started eating it:) so there is a teeth mark:D)

Polish people will understand:) I couldn't help myself:D

Some of the pictures (hopefully you noticed:P) were taken by a lovely girl from Czech Republic, Markéta Šlézarová. She is Au Pair as well. Sadly, she's leaving this Sunday:( and on Friday and Saturday we're having a bye-bye party for her:)

Day 20... and Bar Rumba

Lazy, sleepy Saturday. I was so exhausted from the roller skates that I slept until noon and didn't went for a walk:) Instead I want clubbing with some friends and this is what we found:)

RUMBA

WHAT??

Bar Rumba also a club with a motto IF YOU CAN'T SING IT, WE WON'T PLAY IT. Bar Rumba is the home to some of London’s most diverse and electrifying club nights. Come party with us every night of the week; with different themes & drinks deals there’s always something fresh to be coming back to.

WHERE??

36 Shaftesbury Avenue London W1D 7EP

Easy to get to. Very simple route. You just have to get to Piccadilly Circus and from there it's only 7 minutes walking.

HOW MUCH??

(I'm waiting for an email with details from the bar so be patient, I will update it later:P)

WHEN??

Opening hours
Monday : 9:00pm – 3:00am
Tuesday : 9:00pm – 3:00am
Wednesday : 9:00pm – 3:00am
Thursday : 9:00pm – 3:00am
Friday : 9:00pm – 3:00am
Saturday : 9:00pm – 3:00am
Sunday : 9:00pm – 3:00am

IMPRESSION: The price is ok. In our case some random guy (I have no idea how are they called) came up to us and asked us if we wanted to go clubbing. He proposed Rumba and we made a deal:D From 10 pounds we got to 5 for the entrance. We bought them in ticket booth, at the entrance they are 10.
The place is nice, a bit small and crowded but nevertheless ok:) The music actually is great:) 'coz the DJ plays only music that you know from the radio or MTV channel:D It's graet to dance to:) I had a really good time there:) And as I see on there website they've got lots of different venues so it's probably the best idea to check their calendar what's coming up next:) Drinks are also ok, the prices are reasonable.

PLUSES:

+ close to central London, tube, and bus stops so easy to get to
+ nice interior
+ price ok
+ fabulous music:D

MINUSES:

- a bit too crowded for me (it's not really a minus since every good club is crowded:) it's just me hating crowded places:P)

VERDICT:

It's a nice place with great music. I liked it a lot since it's very well organised, the interior is nice and stuff is quick and polite:) I also liked the names for some of the drinks:) Really funny:) So I think you should really try it:)

Day 19... and Roller Disco

I'm far behind my schedule:) The weekend was hectic but on the other hand so lazy:/ How's it possible?!?!?!

The kids are little nightmares. This week even more then before. Even now I hear them shouting, screaming and punching each other. What a lovely way to behave;/ I really need a solution and I need it fast. Like ASAP fast!!

Ok let's move to more pleasant stuff:) Weekend in London:D And a lovely one to add:)

So let's start with Friday and Roller Disco, and next posts will follow soon:)

ROLLER DISCO

WHAT??  Basically a disco but on roller skates:) Great atmosphere, great music, and great fun. Two skating arenas keeps the fun rolling, four fully licensed bars. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. Arena 1 - Classic Disco & Funk Arena 2 - House and Eclectic "Skate Adventure"

WHERE??  Roller Disco @ The Renaissance Rooms in Vauxhall, London.

As you can see on the picture (thank God for the Internet and Google Maps- without it I would be so lost:P) the disco is very close to Bus Station, Underground and Train Station, so it's really easy to get to. I live in Dulwich so my trip was from Dulwich to Brixton by Bus nr 3, than Brixton Underground Station to Vauxhall Underground Station by Victioria line (it is only 1 stop on the way: Stockwell, and than Vauxhall so it's a short journey). It took us around 5 min (7 in high heels:P) to get to the right place:) It's a bit tricky to get there but if you're good with maps it's a piece of cake:P

WHEN??  From Thursday till Sunday every week. Each day has different time of opening and closing. You can check it on FB or their website. I provided the links at the bottom of the post:)

HOW MUCH??

Thursday: £10 full price, includes skate hire
£7.50 on the door with own skates
£6 inc skate hire, with student card/NUS (the card must show a valid expiry date, sorry no exceptions)

Friday: £12.50
Saturday: £15 ( £14 internet pre-booked tickets )

IMPRESSION:

It was F***ing awsome!! Sorry for swearing but it was fabulous indeed:D I had sooooo much fun that I'm definately coming back:) Maybe next week:) So if anybody's interested just post a comment;)
They've got two skating arenas: one plays a 70's music, while the other serves a bit more modern hits;) I enjoyed both of them:) They provide the equipment, wrist guards and there is even an instructor skating nearby if you're completely useless:P They have drinks and food (I wouldn't recommend drinking alcohol if you're not good with skates since you may kill yourself and others in progres:P)

The things that I enjoyed the most is that you can dress up!! In whatever you like:) It is so awsome:)

PLUSES:

+ great music
+ lots of fun... and exercise as well:P
+ eqipment to borrow so you don't need to have your own rollers
+ trained stuff
+ very cultural people

MINUSES:

- for a regular Au Pair, that doesn't earn much, the price can be a bit steep, but once in a while you can indulge yourself in a  huge amount of fun:)

VERDICT:

I definately recommend it!! It gave me so much fun that I want to go there again:) and soon:) it something different that lunches or meeting for drinks in Central:)

New beginning...

Influenced by my HM I decided to change my blog a little:) From now on it'll be written in English ( don't worry, if I'll manage, I will write in Polish as well;P). Another change is the title and description of my blog:) I think that it could be a good guide of London life for other girls like me, who came here to see/do/try something new and meet someone new:)

I hope thet you will like it:)

Tonight RollerDisco:) Stay tuned for the update:)

Kolejna zmiana to tytuł i opis bloga.

Day 16...

Ogłoszenia i CV będę robić jutro. No i nadchodzi też mobilizacja co do ćwiczeń:)

Day 15...

To będzie ciekawe.

Muszę koniecznie jutro napisać CV i ogłoszenie na forum. Do lutego muszę znaleźć coś koniecznie.

Tęskni mi się za Tobą skarbie. I wiem że Tobie też jest ciężko. Nic dziwnego.

Day 14...

A teraz zdjecia:D:D:D

Camden Market Lock:)

Może mała zmiana stylu?? Co o tym myślisz Skarbie? Będę mroczna i tajemnicza:D (BTW gorsety mi się podobają i chyba kupię sobie taki jeden skórzany:))

Jedzenie!!!! Chińskie pierożki z kurczakiem i warzywami z budki:) Pycha <mniam>

Camden Town było jej ulubionym miejscem w Londynie.

W Camden Town jest wszystko ( i mówię absolutnie wszystko;P)

Nowi znajomi:) Dzięki nim weekend zleciał jak jeden dzień:) (i do tego takie międzynarodowe środowisko:D)

I tu chyba najlepsze miejsce z całego Camden Town:) Za dnia sklep dla fanów trance, trash music a w nocy klub!! Niestety nie wolno tam robić zdjęć ale miejsce jest boskie i niesamowicie warte obejrzenia:) W środku stroje, akcesoria, bielizna, różne elementy sado-maso (!!):D, farby do malowania ciała, które święcą w ultrafiolecie:) ( Skarbie przywiozę ci coś specjalnego:P) I mnóstwo mnóstwo różnych fajnych rzeczy:)

Ogólnie wspaniałe miejsce!! jestem totalnie zachwycona!!:) I na pewno będę je odwiedzać przynajmniej dwa razy  w miesiącu:) (i wydawać tam mnóstwo kasy:D:D:D) Muszę koniecznie zakupić nowy aparat, albo nową baterię do mojego aparatu:)

A teraz idę jeść bo zgłodniałam:) Chili woła:) A potem Roswell:D
